FAQ about Mini PC

1.Q: Will it be OK to run the computer 24/7 just like a desktop pc with fan? Will it be overheated?

A: It can work around the clock. Normally it’s around 36℃(96.8℉) because high-quality aluminum alloy case has been used for quick heat dissipation. And just because of the fanless design, it’s so quiet for using in living room or bedroom without any noise.

2.Q: Why is the RAM onboard?

   A: 4G RAM is already onboard to save much time for you to choose the right type. Moreover it will be much safer than RAM plugged in case of dust on connecting fingers, ensuring outstanding performance in the harshest working environment of high vibration, high humidity or dust.

3.Q: How to add WiFi module and Storage to my barebone mini pc?

   A: 1) Open the mini chassis, and unload motherboard from case, on the backside of motherboard you’ll find the Mini PCI-E slot, plug WiFi module into the slot and fix it on the board with a screw. Connect 2 antennas cords to WiFi module after fixing 2 antennas into case holes.

      2)Plug 2.5” SATA HDD or SSD into SATA bay, Use 4 screws to fix it onto the motherboard, finally fix back the chassis to the case.

4.Q: Could you customize BIOS/booting graphic interface?

   A: Sure. Your logo should be 800×600, 256 color in BMP or JPG Format, below 900K.

5.Q: How to enter BIOS?

   A: Once mini computer starts, please press “Delete” or “Esc” repeatedly to run BIOS.

6.Q: Why cannot my computer start up?

   A: 1) Make sure the computer is connected to a functioning power outlet.

       2) If that doesn’t work, press power button for above 5 seconds to see if the computer starts.

       3) If that doesn’t works either, unplug the power cord, and wait for at least 30 seconds. Restart the mini computer after plugging the power cord.

       4) If you are still unable to start up the mini computer, please contact us for service.

7.Q: Why does nothing display although mini pc(RAM and SSD installed already) connects monitor well and both Power indicator lights are on?

   A: 1) Make sure the VGA/HDMI cable between the PC and display is well connected.

       2) If the problem still exists, change another VGA/HDMI cable for trial.

       3) Sometimes such issue comes due to CMOS problem, you can remove CMOS battery for 15 seconds and install it back again.

8.Q: Why does the mini computer shut down every 30 minutes?

   A: 1) Please open the case and take out CMOS button battery and reinstall it back after 15 seconds.

       2) If the problem still exists, please contact us and we’ll help you update BIOS.

9.Q:  Is the mini pc enough to run XBMC in living room and applicable for a large-size TV?

   A: Yes, the mini pc is quite suitable as a HTPC, and is widely used in living room by connecting to TV with HDMI cable, which can support 1920*1080 HD resolution at the most.

10.Q: Why cann’t my pc be connected to the internet?

     A: 1) Make sure the network cable is connected and functioning properly.

         2) If you are using dial-up Internet connection, make sure that your cord is plugged into a modem port rather than Ethernet port.

         3) Locate your Internet settings and try it again.

11.Q: How to check the storage partition?

     A: 1) Click "My Computer" by right mouse;

         2) Choose "Computer Management";

         3) Enter "Storage";

         4) Click "Storage Management".

12.Q: Why is there always a problem with one of my applications?

     A: 1) Make sure that a licensed operating system is used.

         2) Contact the software manufacturer to check its compatibility with the mini computer.

13.Q:.How long is the lifetime of the mini computer?

     A: It is usually above 10 years if used properly.
